'98 Intrigue Cruise Control Malfunction

I have a '98 Olds Intrigue (3.8) with about 95,000 miles on the odometer. A few months ago the cruise control started shutting off after about ten minutes of use and would not turn back on for another 30 minutes. What are some things that I could check to pinpoint the problem?

Try the cruise control brake switch, located on the brake pedal arm, see if it's in the brackett the right way, or replace it...
