My 95 Olds Achieva Tach goes from 6 o'clock position to just below 0 rpms after ignition. I just changed the plugs but not the wires. I'm pretty sure it worked before the change. Also, the battery (-) neg cable came a little loose but has been tightened. When turned off the tach needle returns to 6 o'clock. Did I knock something loose when changing plugs? I don't know what to check. Thanks.

Do you mean the tach isnt really working? goes from way below 0 then up to 0 when the car starts? GM gauges do that sometimes when the batt has been disconnected. We have in the past been able to remove the cluster and manually move the needle to its correct starting position .
