When I first attempt to start the van it will turn over for a few seconds and then stop after a few more seconds the car will turn over and start. I had replaced the battery back sometime ago and have had a diagnostic of both the battery and alternator which checked out fine. I do not know if I have a starter problem or the replacement battery does not have enough cranking amps for the vehicle?

Do this have a helper on hand-when the starter stops engaging the engine for that few secs -bang on the starter if it kicks again replace the starter.
