1998 Other Oldsmobile Models Intermittent Fan

Haveing a few issues with the heater and air in that it's stuck in bi-level mode, and moans and groans a bit every time the vehicle is started.

The main thing though is the heater fan only works on occasion, and of course never when you really need it. Where do I begin?

Hi:
When the fan isn't working, check to see if there is power to the fan motor. If there is, check the fan ground and if it's good, replace the motor.

Let me know what you find and we'll work from there.
