I took my vehicle to a mechanic because it was getting hot and when i pressed on the accelerator it would cool down. He said it wasnt a thermostat, but that it was an air pocket in the hose. I replaced the radiator cap but the pocket keeps coming back Help please!!!

Is it leaking anywhere? If air is just appearing in the cooling system, have it chemical tested for a blown head gasket.
