When I stop the car, put in park, I can remove the key and the engine continues to run. When I shift to Reverse the engine stops and I put on the parking brake. If I put the trans in Park the dash light up and the fuel pump cycles. I changed the ignition switch thinking that it might be bad, tried a few times and the engine went off with car in Park and key was removed. After 10 minutes same problem existed. Car will not turn off with key out in Park. Is there a sensor bad in the shift or console? Please help

Is there something I need to look for and where? Is it in the wiring block or a bad switch?

For a start check the wiring going to the ignition switch. Check whether the power input to the switch is touching the ignition feed.
