I am looking at a car for sale. when we started the car it wouldn't start. The owner says that it will start if you jump the engine. what is wrong with this and how much for it to be fix.

Hello,

Could be just that the Battery is low from sitting. Do you know how long it has be sitting without being started.

It could also be a bad battery or a bad alternator. Check out link below to test Alternator....
