2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue Wind Sheild wipers not turning off

THis sproblem got consistently worse over time. When you hit the washer, or pushed down for a single wipe they would stay on an excessive amount of time. Now they will not turn off. Disconnected battery to try and reset with no luck.

check for faulty wiper relay. if OK then the circuit board part of the wiper motor is probably faulty.
