Last post was 2006 and my olds has maybe finally died on me.
I noticed a few days ago I had the ses light on and extreme engine knocking.
It is now prevalent at every idle speed and also there is a noticeable loss of power. I bought a new camshaft position sensor and installed it after getting a code reading from autozone. Once i,n it cleared the ses light but the knocking remains.
Any advice is greatly appreciated other than junking the car which may be the next step.

ok.
In your experience can their replacement stop the knocking I'm having?
Guess it's worth doing cause I'm ready to donate the car.
Also where can these sensors be found?
