Engine Performance problem
1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

my car started to jerk like it had bad gas and then iy lost all power wouldn'rt go foward are backward we changed the strainer on it it drove for about 3 hours but still jerked then fell to move again. is this a transmission problem are bad gas? please let me know.

If you place it in neutral, does the engine rev normally?
