Electrical problem
1994 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Automatic 116000 miles

Whenever I turn the car on, the parking brake light goes on and stays on and as i accelerate from a stand still the warning bell goes on and stays on until I shut off the ignition. When it first started, if you tapped the brakes the light and bell would stop but now the only way to turn it off is to turn off the engine completely. The parking brake appears to be off when I drive. Could it be just an old wire possibly or is the parking brake itself malfunctioning?

Hello –

To better assist you I want to make sure we are talking about the correct vehicle. You have a 1994 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale FWD V6-3800 3.8L

Have you check the fluid level in your break reservoir? Is it good?

Have you set…..the released your parking brake?
