Engine Performance problem

I have recently had a motor job on my car. Since then so many things have went wrong with it. I don't know if these things were the cause of my first motor going bad are not. When I warm my car up in park it begins to make a loud noise like it is having trouble idling, and when I put the car in drive or reverse it quiet down. But when I stop at a red light or put the car back in park It starts back making this loud fan like noise shaking like it wants to cut of and when i hit the accelerator it the noise and shaking stops for awhile and then starts back in about 30 sec. What do you think is the problem?
