the steering wheel and ignition are locked up on my cutlass. The key will not turn at all, and the car was running fine when it was parked. A couple mechanics have told me to keep my foot on the brake and jerk the wheel while trying to turn the key, but nothing seems to work. I was hoping you guys might have some suggestions to what might be going on here. thanks

dont jerk it, put pressure on it to the right and try turning it or try putting pressure to the left and turning it, also have someone rock the car when your trying to turn it.

try a new key, if it is coded make sure it is coded and your theft system (if equiped) is functioning properly.
