Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Automatic

I have a 96 cutlass supreme came with 3.1L V6 with roller rockers. Unfortunately, the engine overheated and blew the top end. Question? Can a 91 Chevy Lumina with a 3.1L V6 engine and transmission be swapped out without to many obstacles. The only one I see so far is the tranny connection. Cutlass has a floor shifter and Lumina a column. Thank you for any information.

i would think there would be many obstacles like isnt the 91 a t engine(eighth letter of vin) and the 96 is a m engine? they are not even close to matching up. maybe someone else has some ideas but i would definitely do some more research before you attempt the swap. i will see if any of the other guys can shed some light on the situation.
