Brakes problem
1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 150200 miles

long story, I will sum it up as quickly as possible. I was driving down the road with full braking ability, all of a sudden I had lost half my braking power. I was told it was a caliper, then the master cylinder. I checked all calipers personally, none of them were leaking so I replaced the master cylinder. My pedal is still to the floor with minimal braking. The front brakes lock up if I hit em' hard. I tested the sensors that go to the reservoir and the abs control module. None of them had power. I then went to the fuses/terminal for the abs. The fuse is constantly hot but the terminal is not. When I cut the car off and turn it back on the test light will light up on the terminal but then go out instantly. With a bit of jiggling, I can get the test light to stay constant but still have no rear brakes. Also, when bleeding the brakes, there was no air/brake fluid released from the bleeder valve in the rear. Does this sound like a block in the lines somewhere or a bad ABS control module? Are there any other tests that can be done to get a full diagnosis besides a dealership? I would appreciate any input that is available. Thanks,

~Stephanie

If the abs light is on, the codes must be read by a GM compatable scan tool, to bleed some GM's you need two way communication with the ABS system...
