1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass speedometer stop working

Car was working ok, after my son borrow and drove to the store, speedometer not working. No movement. Any idea what else to check for what to replace?

start by checking all your fuses if this checks out trace the wires that run from the guage for open or short circuits if this also checks out post back and i'll help you further with this problem
