I have a 1994 Cutlass Ciera with the 3.1 V6 engine, and
only 47,500 miles. This car starts, runs, and drives
just fine, with no warning lights or signs of trouble. But
it only averages 14.5 mpg! I have another 94 Ciera, with
the same drive train, practically identical to this one
except for color, with over 190,000 miles on it. It
gets an average of 24 mpg! Any ideas why the
low mileage car does so poorly? I haven't had the
codes pulled yet. Thanks!

even though there are no engine lights on, your oxygen sensor could stil be giving false readings, so I would go ahead and see if there are any codes. get a free reading at autozone.
