Engine Cooling problem
1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass 114000 miles

I bought this car a few weeks back and the guy I bought it from only had it for a couple of months (car flipper?) He told me he put a new radiator in it. Its been running at like 100 everyday even in daily traffic (idle) but today it went past 200 but not to the red zone. Is this normal, or maybe a bad radiator job? I checked the coolant level and its 3/4 full.

It shouldn't be running at 100 degrees. The factory thermostat doesn't fully open until 195 degrees. Does the gauge have the temps listed on it? Actually, 200 degrees should be slightly over the halfway point.

Let me know.
