1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

when driving my car and it shifts into drive at around 65 to 70 mph something is causing a vibration and a growling sound , What is this and how do i fix it ?

I suspect a faulty torque converter or torque convertor solenoid..
