While I was driving, I turned the heater on high and dust/smoke (I couldn't tell which) blew out of the vents. I turned the heater immediately down and shortly after it stopped blowing air all together. Now I can't get any setting to blow any air. I tried changing the fuse, but it just blew the new one immediately and nothing changed. The rest of the car seems to be in working condition. Is there a quick easy fix to this or do I need to take it to a mechanic?

Hi:
There is no quick fix. Either the motor burned up or the blower motor resister has gone bad. You need to check the motor. Disconnect the power to it and see if it still blows a fuse.

Let me know what you find.
