1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when i jump a and b to check for codes the light comes on and does not blink any codes not even a code 12 .it just stays lit .

If it isn't blinking, there has to be a problem with the control unit. Check wiring to it and the connector.
