1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Rear brakes locking up.

Brakes problem
1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Two Wheel Drive Automatic High miles

80's GM cars were well known for locking rear brakes. I had one. I have not tried to get one of them to stop doing it for awhile. I could always improve it back in the day but it often returned. Did anyone ever find a good lasting solution?

The only thing that has ever worked for me was to cut the drums and sand the shoes. It would last for a good while before the problem would return.
