1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

on a 403 engine with an hei distributor ,as the rpms increase the timing should advancein degrees? what is the correct place to route the distributor vaccum hose for an edlebrock carb. ? and as you advance timing should engine rpm increase or decease?

Vacuum hose should be hook up above the throttle plate for ported vacuum and when you advance timing you increase the idle speed
