Smells problem
1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car, sat in a garage for about a year, until the time I inherited it. When I first took possession, I got the necessary safety checks and a fewmonths later had to get my spark plugs replaced. Just ot note out of the 6 plugs, 2 were fused and required alot of penetrating fluid to finally break them loose. This was about 2 weeks ago, however since getting the car back from the autobody, I have noticed a fairly distinct and strong smell of gasoline from the back end of my vehicle and now i can notice it inside the car, after it has been parked for a few hours. Never smell it while driving? What could be the problem? Does it have something to do with my replaced spark plus?

you may have disconnected a emissions system, chekc over the charcoal canister for cracks and such, check over with vehicle off looking for fluid or the odor of gas.

check lines for leaks and the gastank for leaks.

chances are if is in the back it has mnothing to do with the plugs.
