1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my alternator will not charge my battery but its workin fine, the car will run fine but if I have my headlight on the cd player will not stay on it will blink and my dash lights went out about 5 months ago I tried to replace the bulbs but that didnt help but the battery will not drain all the way the interior lights still work but its just not enought power to crank the car and I have a new battery and and new cables what should I do?

I dont beleive that alternator is anygood, the voltage regulator, may be bad, and not relaying the correct amount of current to recharge the battery. Please have it checked again, bring it to autozone, they should be able to test it in the vehicle.
