1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass charge light stays on

I have a 1984 cutlass supreme and my question is my charge light stays on in my car when i drive and so I have to charge my battery up everyother day and its a brand new battery also I have replaced all of the belts and it was still doing it so i had my alternator tested and they said it was fine but the light was still on could you please tell me what's goin on.
