1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass fan clutch

i have a 67 olds 442 that has an electric fan that does not cool well enough in hot weather. i am looking at either going back to fan and shroud as original or a double elec fan. please give me your recommendation and if it is back to original please explain about the clutch/temperature mechanism and what i should get.

what temp is it getting to when its hot?
