title only says oldsmobile, no name kind. i start the car, it will not move, even in neutral with two men hand pushing, rocking it , only 2-3 inches of movement. the brake is off. [ i had an olds aurora that would not move... had the fluid changed, then had the whole transmission changed, i think the aurora maybe had a sensor problem, but no one would confirm that. it was junked]. but this car, i really need it to drive. what can i do so i don't go through needless repairs? how do i check the sensor? what can i do/for about the transmission? or anything to get it to run and drive? thank you.

Is the trans linkage attached? When you place it in any gear, is there any change? Does the engine rev? Is the fluid full and clean?
