what would cause the battery to go dead after not driving for a few days?
I bought a new battery and it still does the same.

There must be a constant draw. Here is a how to for checking for one. When checking, if there is a draw, remove one fuse at a time until the draw stopps. Once it stops, then you have isolated the circuit that is causing the problem.
