1989 Oldsmobile Ciera 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my car shakes when im driving it and get worse the faster i go . im trying to figure out what is wrong with it could it be the suspension or what? it just happened while i was driving on the highway my wheel just started shaking and there was a light thumping noise.

You may have a bad tire, inspect the tires for unusual wear and rotate them. See if the vibration moves if it does you have a bad tire if not write back and we can go further.
