The purple wire at the starter solenoid S terminal goes hot with the key in the crank position. Without wiggling anything, is it hot? If not, back track the circuit till you find voltage, splice in a new wire and connector, if that is the problem? If you short the solenoid bat terminal to the solenoid S terminal, the starter will crank, even without the key. Make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the e-brake is set, when trying to crank. There can be safety issues trying to crank that way.
