Tires and Wheels problem
2002 Oldsmobile Bravada All Wheel Drive Automatic 80000 miles

1)Caught in the snow. Manual says no tire ("metal link" chains. Does this include the newer "cable-type" traction devices with rubber chain tensioners? The latter are acceptable on my Honda Odysey which also has limited tire clearance.

2) If the "cable-type" are acceptable, do I put them on all four tires since it is an AWD?

Hi:
I would say no to any type of tire chain because the manufacturer strongly recommends against them. However, I also recommend that you contact a dealer for their recommendation.
