Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Oldsmobile Bravada All Wheel Drive Automatic 155000 miles

WELL - I BROKE THE ALTERNATOR BRACKET WHERE THE LONG BOLT GOES IN (I PUT THE BOLT THE WRONG WAY) DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I PUT THE BROKEN PIECES TOGETHER. IS THE BRACKET WELDABLE? I TRIED THE GM PARTS GUYS AND THEY NO LONGER CARRY THE PART. THE GUYS AT THE LOCAL AUTO PARTS PLACES SAY I HAVE TO GET THE PART THROUGH THE DEALER. TRIED SALVAGE YARDS WITH NO LUCK. ALSO IS THE GMC JIMMY SIMILAR TO MY VEHICLE? IF SO CAN I USE THE SAME BRACKET? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I JUST BOUGHT ANOTHER VEHICLE AND STILL MISS DRIVING MY BRAVADA.

The Chevrolet Blazer and the GMC Jimmy are both similar to the Oldsmobile Bravada.

I would suggest shopping online for the product. Search part stores such as AutoZone, O'Reilly Auto Parts and Advance Auto Parts. If you have no luck then search salvage yards for the Blazers and Jimmys.

Hope this helps..
