1996 Oldsmobile Aurora replacing input speed censor

the service engine soon light is on, the code indicates the input speed censor does not work, I have located and purchased the part but can not find out where it is located to replace it, is it located on or in the transmission and how easy or hard is this repair job? a donation has been made

I cant find any specific instructions on replacing it, but the labor guide calls for 10.2 hrs of labor, which pretty much tells me that the trans has to come out to replace it. Not really a DIY project
