I tried to change my rear brake pads and i noticed that the pads were touching the rotor already. i can feel it grindin and hear it squealing when I accelerate and brake. I set my parking brake once and the pedal came up when i released it but I can feell and see that its still engaged.

Hi:
There should be a slight drag on the wheel. It's normal. If they stop the car without touching the brakes, make sure the caliper slides are free and the pistons move freely.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
