1995 Oldsmobile Aurora Fuel guage not working properly

Have a 95 Aurora The fuel pump had just went out, so i put a new one in. The guage was working fine until after i put the new pump in, and now it reads full all the time. Looked at all the connections, plugins, etc....everything seems fine....Any suggestions or maybe something I missed?

Did the new pump have a new float gauge assembly attached to it? Are you sure when you lowered the pump into the tank, the float didn't get stuck in the up position?
