The Oldsmobile Aurora is an electrical nightmare. I've taken my care to four different mechanics and all four don't know what the problem is, one had a diagnosis which they were going to charge $500 for, did the repair myself and the same problem occurred. My car will start up fine but after driving for a little bit the car starts to stutter, I push the gas and nothing happens and when I take my foot off the engine surges. This goes on until the car will eventually die. Once this happens I start the car right back up and the same problem happens. Is it even worth getting the car looked at again since mechanics don't want to work on this car. (got the fuel pump checked came back good, battery is good, fuel pressure is good, don't know what to do?)

What work did you do, and has the check engine light been on?
