My heat guage goes all the way to hot but the engine isn't overheating. This causes the computer to go into a protection mode and my car downshifts and runs at a higher rpm, it also shuts off my A/C. The problem is getting worse and I don't know how to repair it. Is there a sensor that is malfunctioning or is it a computer problem. I really appreciate any help you can give me.
