Welcome to the forum, make sure there is no pressure on the system, before taking anything loose. Usually after the vehicle sits overnight without the key being cycled or engine started, there shouldn't be much if any pressure, but, you still need to be aware of possible pressure. Loosen the gas cap, so, no pressure in tank. Even if no pressure, fuel may still try to drain from lines, if too much, plug the line with something till your ready to put the new filter in.
The parts book showed threaded fitting on one of filter and quick connect fitting on the other. It's best to use proper disconnect tool to remove.
