2002 Oldsmobile Alero 4 cyl Automatic 75,000 miles

The clicking sound of the turn signals stay on even after my signal is off and continues randomly when the vehicle is on. This happens daily..how come?!

Suspect faulty signal flasher. Flasher is located right behind the hazard button on the dash. You can get to it by removing the shroud surrounding the speedo..
