2001 Oldsmobile Alero oil pooling

2001 Oldsmobile Alero

went to change spark plugs and found oil pooling around on the top end... combined w/ loss of water and over heating, this can't be good... Heads maybe?

Chances are the oil is coming from a leaking valve cover gasket. Chech that and let me know what you find.

Now for the coolant, do you see any leaks? Have you checked to make sure it isn't mixing with the engine oil? Is there excessive white smoke coming from the exhaust?

Let me know about the coolant so I have a better idea on the hesitation.
