2001 Oldsmobile Alero brakes,rotors

2001 Oldsmobile Alero 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The front driver side rotor has grooves scrapes into it.The brake pad on the driver side is much lower than the right side.About 2 months ago i replace both rotors in the front ,brake pads in the front,the front left side caliper also and as well the rubber bleeder brake line from the caliper to the brake line that is a metal tube.The rubber brake line is between the caliper and the metal brake tubethat goes to the mastercilender.If you guys could help i greatly appreciate it. Have both pads (inner and outer) worn evenly?

IF they have worn evenly, then the caliper isn't the problem. My first guess is the rubber brake hose that attaches to the caliper. They can break down intermally over the years. As a result, they allow brake fluid to get to the caliper but are slow releasing pressure the opposite way. Infact, I have seen some that don't release. You may what to check that.

To check, lift and secure the vehicle and remove the wheel so you have access to the caliper bleeder valve. Have a friend push the brakes several time then release. See if you can turn the rotor. If you can't, loosten the bleeder valve and see if the pressure is released and you can then turn it. If you can, replace the rubber brake hose.
