2000 Oldsmobile Alero soft peddal after new pads

i replaced pads and got in car and pumped brakes about 8 x , the pedal wold go in little over half way down , started car just in case, i think i dont think calipers were out to pads , how can remendy this problem i tried to back up to adjust , bpulled ahead , applied brakes , i did this 2x , still goes over half , do i bleed them and is there a certain way to do it , this thing tells me even when tire pressure is low , when to change oil so on ect . can you give me any advice on if i need any special methods , i am mechancakky inckined and know typical bleed , so any advice wound be greatly appreciated

Bleed the brake system

Start with the brake master cylinder then RR/LR/RF/LF-
