i have a 2000 alero and since i bought it when i start it almost every time the revs bounce up and down fast for 5-10 seconds and can hear it and also when i release gas to brake feel it jolt me frontward

Has the check engine light ever come on? To me, it sounds like a throttle position sensor (TPS) or an idle air control valve (IAC).

LEt me know about the light. Without a code, it becomes a guessing game.
