When the change oil light comes on, should I take the car in and get the oil changed immediately? Can I wait a few days without causing any serious damage to my car?

Hello
Thanks for the donation

The change oil light is only a reminder to have your engine oil replaced soon. You do not have to change it immediately. No harm will be done as long as it is taken care of within a few hundred miles of the light illuminating.
