Engine Cooling problem
1999 Oldsmobile Alero 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Overheating and water purging back up through reservoir tank. Water pump, thermostat and reservoir tank cap all replaced. Any ideas what is causing?

Yes, but only when a/c is on.

Okay..that is your problem then. I would suspect a faulty engine coolant temperature sensor preventing the fans from kicking in. You may want to first test the cooling fan relays though.
