1999 ALERO, THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON SO I REPLACED IT AND THE LIGHT WENT OFF ONLY A COUPLE MINUTES. I THEN HAD THE ALTERNATOR CHECKED AND IT WAS O.K. BUT THE LIGHT STILL COMES ON. HELP!

Hi there,

You may have an intermittent problem with the alternator, have it checked with the light on you may have sticky brushes, have this simple tested done first.

THE ALTERNATOR WAS CHECKED WHILE RUNNING WITH THE LIGHT ON AND ALSO CHECKED AFTER REMOVED FROM VEHICLE

Hi there,

If the alternator is working as it should, and the voltage reg is OK, the problem will be in the loom or the circuit board of the instrument cluster, this will be a job for an auto electrician to hunt down.
