1997 Oldsmobile Achieva Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I can not get my tire off so I can change a flat tire. Even though I already have the lug nuts and cover off the tire is still stuck. It is such a tight fit that I can not slide it off. I know this sounds silly, but I have changed many a tire before and this is the first time I can not get the tire off.

Hi:
Protect the wheel with a piece of wood and use a heavy hammar to remove it.
