how do i find out if the fuel pump is out or if its just electrical?

Do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn key to run? If not could be a fuse or the fuel pump relay. Try powering the fuel pump from the battery if it doesn't come on then blame it on the pump, now if it comes on test the fuse/fuel pump relay
