Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Oldsmobile 98 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

I'm getting traction off and blinking engine light. Based on your experience with these signals. Can u tell me the least and the worst that I could be dealing with when I go for repaires?

Hi Could be a wheel speed sensor or lots of other stuff. Need to have car hooked up to scanner and have codes read. This will aid in diagnosis and tell cost of repair. Unfortunatly your car is one year short of OBDII and finding a Tech1 scanner will be the problem. If your car was produced late in 96 maybe OBDII. Look underdash drivers side does ALDL have 16 pins see diagram
